October is National Apple Month! Just another reason to love autumn. It is the only national, generic apple promotion in the United States. It was originally founded in 1904 as National Apple Week, and has now expanded to the entire month of October. Their mission is to increase apple industry sales, and to enhance consumer awareness and usage of apples and apple products.
This would make it the perfect time to make some apple sauce with the boxes of organic apples I still have sitting in my house from apple picking last month. I am mostly definitely not a seasoned canner, but my intention is to can them all soon with different types of apple sauce, and so far one of my favorites is this simple 2-ingredient Grape Apple Sauce
Ingredients
- 4 large organic apples, chopped
- 1/2 cup of Zane’s Organic Grape Little Me Tea
- Cinnamon (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Chop the apples leaving the skin on.
- Place the chopped apples and Grape Tea in your high powered blender or food processor.
- Blend until smooth.
- Enjoy the subtle hint of grape tea in your apple sauce. Yum.
